Air and Percussion Sounds


Air sounds are derived from direct stimulation of the air. Conversation, music, traffic noises, are all examples of airborne sounds.
Percussion sounds are caused by the stimulation of a solid medium (wall, floor). They result from an impact action. Examples of this type of sound are the sounds due to hammering, the dragging of furniture, the action of walking, etc.
