Please read this Privacy Policy carefully, as by accessing this site, the provision of your personal data implies knowledge and acceptance of the conditions contained in it.

Who is responsible for collecting and processing the data?

Imperalum – Sociedade Comercial de Revestimentos e Impermeabilizações S.A, hereinafter Imperalum, is the entity responsible for the collection and processing of personal data and may, within the scope of its activity, use subcontracted entities to pursue the purposes indicated herein.

What is personal data?

Personal data is any information, of whatever nature and whatever its support, including sound and image, concerning an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identification number or to one or more factors specific to his or her physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.

What personal data is collected and treated?

Imperalum collects and treats, among others, the following personal data:

  • From Customers: name, e-mail address, telephone number, address, payment method;
  • – From Candidates for recruitment: name, e-mail address, telephone number and CV;
  • From Suppliers: name, e-mail address, telephone number, address, IBAN of account for payment;
  • From other data subjects, via technical and commercial enquiries: name, email address, telephone number, address.

When you browse the Website, Imperalum may collect information about your computer, including IP address, operating system and browser used, for administrative purposes and to aggregate information for statistical purposes and to improve its operation and your user experience.

Imperalum assumes that the data has been provided by the data subject or that he/she has given permission to do so and assumes that the data is true and up to date.

How is your data collected?

Personal data may be collected by the following ways:

The data collected is treated and stored electronically and in strict compliance with the legislation on the protection of personal data, and stored in specific databases, created for this purpose by Imperalum or by entities subcontracted by it.

During technical or commercial consultations, some personal data collected on the website are mandatory and, in case of lack or insufficiency of such data, Imperalum may not be able to provide you with the services or information you have requested. In each specific case, Imperalum will inform you of the mandatory nature of the provision of the personal data in question.

What is the purpose of the data collected?

Your data will be included in a personal data file that Imperalum may use for the following purposes:
a) Invoicing and verification of means of payment
b) Providing technical or commercial information requested by the Holders
c) Carrying out satisfaction questionnaires with our products and services
d) Complaints management and customer support
e) Address book
f) Sending newsletters
g) Sending marketing actions
h) Updating of technical or commercial information
i) Dissemination of technical innovations, or product innovations, or service innovations
j) Compliance with other legal or regulatory obligations

In order to pursue the purposes identified above Imperalum may interconnect the data collected, for the purpose of updating and completing such data.

What is the basis for processing your data?

The processing related to the purpose of paragraph a) is based on the contractual relationship established between you and the company.
The treatments associated to the purposes of the sub-paragraphs b), c) and d) are based on your consent, or legitimate interest if you are already our customer. In the latter case you will always have the possibility to object, in each marketing communication sent to you.

The processing related to purpose j) is based on the fulfilment of legal obligations.

Processing associated with purposes a), c), h) (in cases where you are our client) and d), e), g), i) and k) are based on legitimate interests of Imperalum.

The processing related to purposes f) and l) are based on the establishment of pre-contractual relations.

With whom is your data shared?

The data collected and held by Imperalum may be transmitted, with respect for the duty of confidentiality and the principle of the purpose for which they were collected, to the following entities:
a) Entities of the group to which Imperalum belongs;
b) judicial or administrative authorities, in cases where such handing over is mandatory;
c) Recruitment and selection companies;
d) Sub-contractors who will process the data on behalf of Imperalum and in accordance with the purposes determined by Imperalum;
e) Imperalum’s customers being service providers requested by the data subject in order to respond to their query on Imperalum’s behalf;
f) IT platforms or IT service providers, used for sending opinion or customer satisfaction surveys and mass mailing of technical and commercial information updates

COOKIES

Cookies are small pieces of information that can help identify your browser and can store information, for example, settings and user preferences.

Imperalum may store cookies on your device to personalize and facilitate navigation as much as possible, but these cookies do not provide references or personal data of the User.

What are your rights?

Under the Personal Data Protection Act, we guarantee you the right to access, update, rectify, delete, portability and erase your personal data. You may also lodge complaints with the National Commission for Data Protection.

We also give you the right to object to the use of your data for marketing purposes, for sending information communications or for inclusion in information lists or services. If you have not done so at the time of data collection, you can send a request later.

How long is your data stored?

The period of time for which data is stored and retained varies according to the purpose for which the information is processed. Whenever there is no specific legal requirement, the data will be stored and kept only for the minimum period necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or subsequently processed, after which they will be deleted.

Is your data securely processed?

Imperalum is committed to ensuring that the security of your data is protected. To this end, it has adopted various security measures, of a technical and organisational nature, in order to protect the personal data you provide us against disclosure, loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised processing or access, as well as any other form of unlawful processing.

Imperalum requires its subcontractors and partners to adopt security measures equivalent to those it practises.

Notwithstanding the security measures practiced by Imperalum, the user must adopt additional security measures, namely, ensure that it uses equipment and a browser updated in terms of security, properly configured, with an active firewall, antivirus and anti-spyware, and ensure the authenticity of the sites you visit on the Internet, and avoid websites whose reputation you do not trust.

Communications

Imperalum acknowledges that it may communicate Users’ data within the scope of merger, acquisition and/or incorporation processes in which it is or may become involved. Such communication shall not be considered as a transfer of data to third parties, nor shall there be any subcontracted processing.

Imperalum may also transmit data to third parties in the context of investigations, enquiries and judicial and/or administrative processes or of a similar nature, provided that this is duly ordered by a court order to that effect.

Data transfer

If data transfers may occur to third countries that do not belong to the European Union or the European Economic Area, Imperalum will comply with the law, in particular with regard to the suitability of the destination country with regard to the protection of personal data and the requirements that are applicable to these transfers, and personal data will not be transferred to jurisdictions that do not offer guarantees of security and protection.

Use of Imperalum social media may involve transmission of data to social media service providers, who may be based outside the European Union or the European Economic Area. Imperalum is not responsible for the data that you make available on social networks.
